The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 21st that it will hold an international symposium on smart cities at the Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Hotel in Songdo International City at 2 p.m. on the 25th. The event will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel.

The symposium will consist of a keynote speech by Marie Yves Jean, vice president of Quebec Investment Corporation, Yonsei University professor Junghoon Lee, chairman of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s National Smart City Committee and Public Data Opening and Utilization Committee, and Jesse Vincent Huskovich, vice president of Canada’s Innovation Research Institute.
In Session 1, Yonsei University’s Quantum Information Technology Director Moon Kyung-soon will present the latest technologies for quantum computing, urban air transportation (UAM), and autonomous driving that will lead to smart city innovation in both countries.
In Session 2, Richard Chernier, CEO of Sentech, a Quebec deep-tech startup promotion agency, and Lee Ji-sun, CEO of Shinhan Square Bridge, will present their efforts to create an innovative ecosystem to spread smart cities in Incheon and Quebec.
